Local Data Storage and Data Retention

Everything Tarkiz records stays on your device. We do not store or retain your data on any server, so there is nothing for us to keep, share or delete. On the device your focus session history, custom timer presets, and streak statistics stay until you delete them in the app, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall Tarkiz — Android removes the app’s private data when it is uninstalled. We keep no backups of your content, no analytics profiles and no advertising identifiers.

The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Timer duration settings
• Audio file selections and preferences
• Playback positions and progress
• App preferences (theme, mute state, etc.)

This data is stored using Android's SharedPreferences and never leaves your device.

Permissions

Tarkiz requests the following permissions:

• Read Media Audio: Required to access and play audio files you select from your device
• Read External Storage: Required on older Android versions to access audio files

These permissions are used solely for the app's core functionality and are never used to collect or transmit your data.

Third-Party Services

Tarkiz — Focus Timer does not integrate any third-party services, analytics tools, or advertising networks.

Data Security

Since all data remains on your device and no data is transmitted to external servers, your information is protected by your device's built-in security features.
