Privacy Policy - StillMetric

StillMetric works fully offline. Motion observations and optional context stay in the app's private storage on your Android device. StillMetric does not collect, transmit, sell, or share them.

1) Who we are

2) Information handled on your device

During a 12-second observation, StillMetric reads accelerometer and gyroscope values from the device's built-in motion sensors. It processes those values locally to calculate descriptive measurements such as motion amplitude, dominant frequency, signal quality, handling artifact, and spectrum data.

If you save an observation, StillMetric stores its measurements, signal trace, raw sensor samples, protocol, date and time, and any optional context you enter. Optional context can include minutes since medication, sleep hours, stress level, caffeine, recent activity, and a private note.

3) How the information is used

The information is used only to show the current observation, maintain your private journal, and compare recent sessions recorded with the same protocol. StillMetric is a personal observation tool, not a medical device, diagnosis, screening test, treatment, or emergency service.

4) Permissions and connectivity

StillMetric requests no runtime permissions. Android exposes the accelerometer and gyroscope without a permission prompt. The app declares no INTERNET, network-state, location, storage, photos, camera, microphone, contacts, phone, SMS, notification, advertising ID, or ad-services permission.

StillMetric has no account, cloud sync, analytics, advertising, tracking, crash-reporting SDK, developer server, or third-party data service.

5) Exports

When you choose CSV or PDF export, Android's system document picker asks where to save the file. StillMetric writes the selected observation to that user-chosen destination and does not upload it. Any app or service you later use to open or share that file operates under its own privacy policy.

6) Data sharing

We do not receive or share your sensor values, observations, health-related context, notes, or exports because StillMetric has no network access. Data leaves the app only when you deliberately export a file to a destination you choose.

7) Retention and deletion

Saved observations remain in StillMetric's private on-device database until you delete an individual observation, use Delete all local data, clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Exported files remain at the location you selected until you delete them separately.

8) Security and backup

StillMetric keeps its database inside Android's app-private storage and disables Android Auto Backup. No developer copy exists. Device access controls, operating-system security, and any destination you select for exports affect the security of information on your device.

9) Children's privacy

StillMetric is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children under 13. Because it has no server or account, the developer does not knowingly collect information from children.

10) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if StillMetric's behavior changes. The current version remains available at privacy.saifullah.ai/stillmetric.html, with the effective date updated above.
