Welcome to Qurb. Developed by Saifullah Ahad ("we", "us", or "our"), Qurb is a private family location-sharing app built on absolute privacy and cryptographic security. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Qurb mobile application.

1. Data We Collect

Qurb is designed to be end-to-end encrypted. However, for the app to function, we collect the following limited data:

• Location Data (Approximate and Precise): We collect your live location data to share it with your family circle and trigger geofence alerts. Crucially, your location data is encrypted on your device (using Curve25519 and AES-256-GCM) before it leaves your phone. Our relay server only routes opaque ciphertexts; we cannot read, see, or access your location.
• Diagnostics and Crash Logs: We collect anonymous crash logs and performance data to fix bugs and improve app stability.
• Feedback Information: If you use the in-app "Send Feedback" feature, we collect the message you write and your email address (if provided) to respond to your inquiry.

2. How We Use the Data

We use the collected data strictly for the following purposes:

• To enable encrypted live location sharing between you and your family circle.
• To provide geofence (Places) arrival and departure alerts to your circle.
• To deliver emergency SOS alerts to your circle.
• To improve the app's stability by analyzing crash logs.
• To respond to user support requests or feedback.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing. Qurb is 100% ad-free.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers to make the app work:

• Web3Forms: We use Web3Forms solely to relay your in-app feedback messages to our support email. If you provide an email address in the feedback form, it is securely transmitted to us via Web3Forms.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Because Qurb uses end-to-end encryption, we do not store your location history in plaintext on our servers. Ephemeral encrypted location updates pass through our relay and are not permanently archived.

5. Send Feedback

Our app includes a "Send Feedback" feature. When you submit feedback, the contents of your message and your optional email address are sent to us via Web3Forms. This is used exclusively to assist you and improve the app. We do not use this email address for marketing lists.

6. Children's Privacy

While Qurb is meant to keep families safe, our application and services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without such consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy.
