Oyembra Privacy Policy
Oyembra helps one nearby Android phone stay close to the talker while the other phone stays with the listener. This page explains what data Oyembra uses, what stays only on the devices, and what happens if you choose to send feedback.
1. What Oyembra does
Oyembra relays live room speech from one nearby phone to another over a local connection. One phone acts as the desk-side microphone and the other acts as the listener surface. Best-effort on-device captions can also travel across the same local session.
2. Data we collect and process
- Local session data: Oyembra uses nearby device names, connection role, pairing mode, and live timing metrics so the two phones can find each other and stay in sync.
- Live audio and captions: microphone audio and caption text move directly between the paired phones during an active session. Oyembra is designed not to record audio files.
- On-device settings: a local device ID and any refused-device list stay on the device so pairing and refusal choices continue to work.
- Optional feedback: if you tap Send feedback in the About Developer screen, Oyembra sends your message, your optional email address, and a short technical footer with app version, Android version, device manufacturer, and device model.
3. How we use the data
- To discover nearby phones and establish a local relay session.
- To show timing, loss, and placement information while the session is live.
- To keep refused-device choices on the current device.
- To receive and respond to feedback that you choose to send.
4. Data sharing
Oyembra does not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, cloud speech recognition, or a developer backend for live sessions. Live audio and captions stay between the paired phones on the local connection.
If you send feedback, that message is relayed through Web3Forms so it can reach the developer's email inbox. Web3Forms processes the submitted message and optional reply address on the developer's behalf. Their privacy policy is available at web3forms.com/privacy.
5. Data retention and deletion
Oyembra keeps live audio and caption text only for the active session. Caption lines clear when the session ends. The local device ID and refusal list remain on the device until you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
Feedback emails are retained in the developer's mailbox only as long as needed to respond or investigate the issue. You can request deletion of a feedback message by emailing www.saifullah.ai@gmail.com.
6. Send feedback
Sending feedback is fully optional and fully user-initiated. Nothing is sent unless you open the feedback sheet and tap Send. If you leave the email field blank, the message is still delivered without a reply address.
7. Children's policy
Oyembra is not a public social network and does not include public profiles, open feeds, or user posting. Pairing is local and proximity-based. Additional child-safety standards for this app are published at privacy.saifullah.ai/oyembra/child-safety.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
9. Contact
If you have privacy questions about Oyembra, contact www.saifullah.ai@gmail.com.
