1) Who we are

2) What this policy covers

Orivue is an assistive-vision app that uses the device camera to read printed text aloud, identify colors and lighting, scan barcodes, and provide a magnifier for low-vision reading. This policy explains what the app handles and what it does not.

3) Information we collect

Orivue does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share personal data. The app has no account system, no user profile, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no third-party tracking.

Orivue requests the Android CAMERA permission (required) for its visual features. The VIBRATE permission is used for tactile confirmations.

Camera frames are processed entirely on-device by bundled machine-learning models (ML Kit Text Recognition, Barcode Scanning, and Image Analysis). Frames are analyzed in memory and immediately discarded. No image or video is saved, uploaded, or transmitted — unless you explicitly save a magnifier snapshot, which is stored only on your device.

Orivue does not request the INTERNET or ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permission. The app cannot transmit data from the device.

4) Local settings

The app stores your preferences locally on your device using Android DataStore: selected theme (Black/Yellow, White/Black, or Black/Cyan), text size, speech rate, haptic feedback toggle, and onboarding completion state. These settings are saved only in the app's local storage and are removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage from Android Settings.

5) How we use information

Because Orivue does not collect data, there is no server-side use of information. Camera frames are used only on-device to read text, scan barcodes, and provide spoken descriptions of colors and lighting while the relevant mode is active.

6) Sharing and disclosure

We do not share personal information because we do not collect any.

Orivue does not integrate any analytics, advertising, authentication, cloud, or tracking SDKs. All machine-learning models are bundled within the app and run entirely on-device.

7) Data retention

We do not retain personal data. Preference data remains only in local app storage until you clear app data or uninstall Orivue. Magnifier snapshots you choose to save are stored only on your device.

8) Your choices and controls

Camera permission: you can allow or revoke camera access in Android Settings > Apps > Orivue > Permissions.
Theme and text size: choose from three high-contrast themes and adjust text size up to 200% in Settings.
Reset app data: clearing app storage removes all local preferences.
Uninstall: uninstalling the app removes Orivue and all its local data.

9) Security

All processing happens on-device with no network communication. Camera data never leaves the device. There is no remote server, no API calls, and no data transmission to secure.

10) Children's privacy

Orivue is a general assistive-technology app and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

11) International transfers

Orivue does not transfer any data internationally because it does not transmit data.

12) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at https://privacy.saifullah.ai/orivue.html and update the effective date above.
