Matjar is a local marketplace app designed to help you discover, buy, and sell items within your neighborhood.

We collect information necessary to provide the marketplace experience:

• Location Data: With your explicit permission, we collect precise or approximate location data to show you nearby listings and to approximate the location of items you sell.
• Account and Profile Data: We may collect your display name and profile picture (if provided) to identify you to other users in the marketplace.
• User-Generated Content: Items you list for sale (including titles, descriptions, prices, and photos) and chat messages you send to other users.
• App Info & Performance: Basic diagnostic data to help us identify bugs and improve the app.

3. How We Use the Data

Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Matjar app experience:

• To match your search queries with local listings.
• To facilitate communication between buyers and sellers via in-app chat.
• To ensure safety and security within the marketplace.
• To respond to your feedback or support requests.

Note on Location Privacy: We intentionally add a small radius of noise (jitter) to your exact location when you publish a listing. Your precise home address is never exposed publicly to other users.

4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with third-party services that are essential for the app's functionality:

• Firebase: Used for secure authentication, real-time database storage (listings, chats), and cloud storage (photos).
• Web3Forms: Used to securely route any feedback or support messages you send us via the "Send Feedback" feature.

5. Send Feedback Feature

If you use the in-app "Send Feedback" or reporting feature, the app securely transmits your message to our support email (www.saifullah.ai@gmail.com) via Web3Forms. Your email address is optionally collected to allow us to reply to your inquiry.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your listings and chat messages are retained as long as your account is active. You have the right to request deletion of your data. You can delete your individual listings directly within the app at any time. For full account and data deletion, follow the steps on our Account & Data Deletion page. Deletion requests are completed within 30 days; certain records may be retained for up to 90 days where required for legal, safety, or abuse-prevention purposes.

7. Children's Privacy

Matjar does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is intended for general audiences. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately so we can remove it.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
