1) Who we are

2) What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use Marifa (the "App"). Marifa is built to be a fully offline AI tutor, running strictly on your device's local hardware without requiring internet access for its core functions.

3) Information we collect

Because Marifa operates 100% offline, we collect virtually no data.

• On-Device Data (Not Collected by Us): All AI chat interactions, scanned textbook pages (via Camera), voice transcriptions (via Microphone), and imported study materials (PDFs) are processed and stored exclusively on your device. This data never leaves your phone and is completely inaccessible to us.
• Information you provide voluntarily: If you use the in-app "Send Feedback" feature, you may optionally provide a message and an email address.

4) How we use information

• Voluntary Feedback: If you send us feedback, we use it strictly to troubleshoot issues, understand feature requests, and communicate with you about your request.

5) Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. Your local AI study data is never shared with anyone.

We may share information only in these limited cases:

• Service providers: We use Web3Forms to relay voluntary feedback messages to our email inbox.
• Legal requirements: if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

6) Optional in-app feedback messages

Marifa includes a Send Feedback option on the "Settings" / "About" screen. This feature is fully user-initiated — no message is ever sent unless you tap Send.

If you submit feedback:

• Your message text is delivered to the developer's email inbox.
• Your email address is optional. If you provide it, it is used solely so the developer can reply. If you leave it blank, the message is delivered anonymously and the developer cannot reply.
• A short technical footer is auto-attached to help reproduce bugs: app name, app version, Android version, device manufacturer, and device model. No identifiers, contacts, account data, or content from inside the app are included.

The message is sent to a third-party email-relay service, Web3Forms (privacy policy: https://web3forms.com/privacy), which delivers it to www.saifullah.ai@gmail.com. Web3Forms processes the submission only to relay it; we do not use it for any other purpose. Transmission is encrypted (HTTPS).

7) Data retention

We do not retain any of your local AI data as it remains on your device. Voluntary feedback messages are kept only as long as needed to address your request.

8) Your choices and controls

• Permissions: You can allow or deny permissions (Camera, Microphone) at any time in your Android system settings. These are used locally and strictly for OCR text scanning and voice input features.
• Deletion: You can clear all of your local AI data simply by clearing the app's storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app.

9) Security

Marifa's offline-first architecture is its strongest security feature. By keeping data processing on-device, your study materials and chats are inherently protected from external network threats.

10) Children’s privacy

Marifa is an educational utility. Because it processes everything offline and does not collect or transmit personal information to us, it is inherently safe for all ages. However, if users use the optional "Send Feedback" feature, they must be 13 or older (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

11) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on our website at https://saifullah.ai and update the effective date above.
