Loupe Privacy Policy
Camera magnifier and low-vision reading aid by Saifullah Ahad.
Effective date: July 4, 2026
1. What Loupe Does
Loupe uses your phone camera as a live magnifier for nearby text, labels, receipts, numbers, packaging, and small details. It includes zoom, torch, freeze frame, high-contrast filters, and optional gallery saving.
2. Data We Collect
Loupe does not collect personal data. The app does not require an account and does not send camera frames, saved images, device identifiers, location, contacts, microphone data, or usage analytics to the developer.
The app requests only the Android camera permission so it can show the live magnifier preview, focus, zoom, freeze the visible frame, and toggle the torch.
3. How Data Is Used
- Camera frames are processed on your device to display the live magnifier.
- A frozen frame is kept in app memory while you read it.
- If you tap Save, Loupe writes the frozen image to your device gallery using Android MediaStore.
4. Data Sharing
Loupe does not share data with the developer or third parties. It does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, account SDKs, cloud storage, or backend services.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Unsaved frozen frames disappear when you return to Live mode or close the app. Saved images remain in your device gallery until you delete them from your gallery or file manager.
6. Children
Loupe is suitable for a general audience. It does not include accounts, social features, messaging, user profiles, or user-generated content sharing.
7. Changes
If Loupe's privacy behavior changes, this policy will be updated to describe the real permissions, SDKs, data use, and deletion options.
