Privacy Policy — KinRoster
1) Who we are
KinRoster is provided by Saifullah Ahad ("we", "us", "our"). Our website/portfolio is: https://saifullah.ai.
2) What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use KinRoster (the "App"). KinRoster helps a family's care team coordinate looking after one person: a shared care plan with confirmed task rounds, a visit roster, and a handover journal — all inside a private, invite-only "care circle".
3) Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and the display name you choose, used to create and sign in to your account (Firebase Authentication, email/password).
- Content you create: care circles you create or join, care-plan tasks, completion confirmations, visit-roster claims and check-ins/check-outs, journal observations and acknowledgments, content reports, and the care recipient's profile details (name and optional notes) entered by circle members.
- Care-related notes: tasks and journal entries may include health-related details about the person the circle cares for (for example medication rounds or wellbeing observations). Entering such details is entirely up to the circle's members, and this content is visible only inside that private circle.
We do NOT collect:
- No location data, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access.
- No advertising identifiers; the App contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.
- No background tracking of any kind.
If you enter information about another person (the care recipient or others), please make sure you have their permission or the appropriate authority to do so.
4) How we use information
- Provide the App's core features: shared care plans, visit rosters, and journals synced in real time between the members of your circle.
- Show who confirmed, claimed, or acknowledged an item (name attribution inside the circle).
- Maintain safety: process in-app content reports and moderate reported content.
- Compute reminders locally on your device (due and overdue tasks). Reminder notifications are generated on-device; nothing is sent to other people.
5) Where your data is stored and who can see it
- Circle data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, and accounts are managed by Firebase Authentication (both Google LLC services acting as our service providers). See the Firebase Privacy and Security notice.
- Access is restricted server-side: only signed-in members of a circle can read or write that circle's data. Circles are joined by invite code only; there is no public feed and no search that exposes circle content to non-members.
- Transmission is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). A local cache on your device enables offline reading and queues your changes until you are back online.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing. Disclosure may occur only if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
6) Data retention and deletion
- Delete your account: Settings → Delete account (password confirmation required). This removes your sign-in account, your profile document, and your circle memberships.
- Shared history: journal entries and completion confirmations you authored remain part of the circle's shared care history after you leave or delete your account, because other caregivers rely on that record's continuity. Organizers can hide or delete individual entries.
- Delete a circle: a circle's organizer can delete the whole circle, which removes its plan, roster, and journal data.
- You can also email us at www.saifullah.ai@gmail.com to request access, correction, or deletion of your information.
7) Your choices and controls
- Notifications: reminders are optional and permission-based; you can turn them off in the App's Settings or in Android settings at any time.
- Membership: you can leave a circle at any time; organizers can remove members and regenerate invite codes to control access.
- Reporting: any member can report a journal entry from inside the App; organizers review reports in a moderation queue.
8) Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, including server-enforced membership rules on every read and write, encrypted transport, and password-verified account deletion. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
9) Health information disclaimer
This app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Consult a healthcare professional for medical advice.
10) Children's privacy
KinRoster is intended for adults coordinating care and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Our child-safety standards are published at privacy.saifullah.ai/kinroster/child-safety.
11) International transfers
Circle data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure (multi-region, United States). If you use the App from another country, your information is transferred there and protected in accordance with this policy.
12) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at this address and update the effective date above.
