1. Introduction
Iris ("the App") is an Android utility that allows you to use your phone's camera as a high-quality PC webcam by broadcasting it over your local Wi-Fi or USB connection. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and how your privacy is protected.
2. Data We Collect
The App is designed to be privacy-first. It operates almost entirely offline (on your local network) and does not require an account. We only collect data when you explicitly provide it:
- Feedback Data (Optional): If you use the in-app "Send Feedback" feature, we collect the message you write and your email address (if you choose to provide it).
Camera Access: The App requires access to your device's camera to function. The video stream is processed entirely on your device and is transmitted directly to the computer or software you connect it to over your local network. Your video stream is never sent to our servers or any third-party analytics provider.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect solely for the following purposes:
- App Functionality & Support: To read and respond to your feedback, bug reports, and feature requests.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We use the following third-party service solely to facilitate app functionality:
- Web3Forms: We use Web3Forms to securely deliver your feedback messages to our support email. Web3Forms acts as a relay and transmits the data securely via HTTPS.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain feedback emails only as long as necessary to address your inquiry. If you would like us to delete any feedback or email address you have sent us, please contact us at the email address below, and we will promptly remove it.
6. Send Feedback Feature
The "Send Feedback" feature inside the App sends your message and optional email address securely via Web3Forms to our support inbox (www.saifullah.ai@gmail.com). This is the only time the App transmits data to the internet.
7. Children's Privacy
This App is intended for general audiences (18 and over) and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through the feedback form, please contact us, and we will delete it immediately.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated Effective Date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
