Privacy Policy — WifaqRx

1) Who we are

WifaqRx is provided by Saifullah ("we", "us", "our"), an independent developer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Our portfolio and website: https://saifullah.ai.

2) What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains what information WifaqRx collects (if any), how it is used, and the choices you have when you use the WifaqRx Android app (package name: ai.saifullah.wifaqrx).

3) Information we collect

WifaqRx is a fully offline app. It does not transmit any data to external servers, analytics services, or third parties.

All data you interact with — including your medication list, reminder schedules, adherence logs, and app preferences — is stored exclusively on your device using Android's local database (Room) and DataStore. Nothing leaves your device.

Specifically, we do not collect:

• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, device ID)
• Usage analytics or app telemetry
• Crash reports sent to external servers
• Location data
• Health or biometric data
• Payment or financial data
• Advertising identifiers

WifaqRx has no analytics SDK (no Firebase, no Crashlytics, no Sentry, no Amplitude), no ad network, no authentication service, and no backend server. The only network-capable library included is Coil (image loading) — used solely to load images already stored on the device; it is not used for remote data transmission.

4) How we use information

Since no data leaves your device, we do not use your information for any external purpose. Data stored locally (your medications, reminders, and logs) is used exclusively to:

• Display your saved medications and reminders within the app
• Fire pill reminder notifications at the times you set
• Show your weekly adherence statistics
• Remember your language preference and app settings

5) Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, share, or transmit your personal information to any third party, for any purpose.

There are no third-party SDKs in WifaqRx that collect or transmit user data. The full list of libraries used is: Room (local database), DataStore Preferences (local settings), WorkManager (background task support), Hilt (dependency injection), Jetpack Compose + Navigation (UI framework), Coil (local image loading), and standard AndroidX libraries. None of these libraries transmit data externally.

6) Permissions — what they are used for

WifaqRx requests the following Android permissions:

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+) — Required to show pill reminder notifications. Without this, reminders cannot appear on your screen.
• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM (Android 12+) — Required to fire reminders at the exact time you set.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — Allows the app to reschedule your reminders automatically after your device restarts.

All permissions are used solely for their stated purpose — delivering timely medication reminders. No permission is used to collect data. You can review and change any permission at any time in Android Settings → Apps → WifaqRx → Permissions.

7) Data retention

Your medication data, reminders, and logs are stored locally on your device for as long as you keep the app installed. Uninstalling WifaqRx removes all locally stored data. No data is retained on our servers because none is ever sent there.

8) Your choices and controls

• Permissions: Allow or deny any permission in Android Settings at any time.
• Data deletion: Uninstalling the app removes locally stored app data from your device.
• Language: Change the app language at any time in Settings within the app.
• Reminders: You can create reminders and manage reminder permissions in Android Settings.

9) Security

Because WifaqRx stores all data locally and makes no network transmissions, your information is protected by your device's own storage security (Android sandbox) and, on supported devices, by hardware-backed encryption. We do not store or have access to any of your data.

WifaqRx is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app collects no data at all, this risk is minimal, but parents and guardians are advised to supervise app usage for young children.

We may update this Privacy Policy when material changes occur (for example, if a new feature introduces a new type of data handling).
