Privacy Policy - Warranty Wallet
1) Who we are
Warranty Wallet is provided by Saifullah ("we", "us", "our"). Our portfolio is at https://saifullah.ai.
2) Scope
This policy explains what information Warranty Wallet handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. Warranty Wallet is an offline Android app for tracking product warranties, receipt photo references, warranty expiry dates, and service schedules.
3) What we collect
Warranty Wallet does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data with us.
- No account or sign-in is required.
- No advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, payment SDKs, or backend services are included in the app.
- No warranty records, receipt references, device identifiers, or usage analytics are sent to us.
- The app does not request internet access.
4) On-device data
Warranty Wallet stores the following on your device so the app can provide its core features:
- Warranty item records, such as product name, brand, store, category, serial number, notes, purchase date, warranty length, and service interval.
- Calculated warranty expiry and service dates used by the overview screen and local reminders.
- Android document URI references for receipt photos that you choose through the system document picker.
- Local app settings and backup/restore state needed for the app experience.
Receipt photos are not copied into Warranty Wallet and are not uploaded by the app. Android may revoke access to a selected document if the original file is moved, deleted, or permission is removed.
5) Backup and restore
Warranty Wallet can export your warranty records to a JSON backup file that you choose through Android's document picker. The app can also restore records from a JSON file you select. These files are controlled by you and are not sent to us.
6) Permissions Warranty Wallet requests, and why
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+) - used only to show local warranty expiry and service reminder notifications if you allow notifications.
The app uses Android's document picker for receipt attachments and backup files. This allows you to select specific files without granting broad storage access to the app.
7) Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your information. Because Warranty Wallet does not send your records to us, we do not share your warranty records, receipt references, or backup files with third parties.
8) Data retention and deletion
Your Warranty Wallet data remains on your device until you edit it, delete it, restore another backup, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. JSON backup files remain wherever you saved them and can be deleted by you using your file manager or storage provider.
9) Children
Warranty Wallet is not directed to children under 13. The app does not include social features, advertising, accounts, or online collection by us.
10) Security
The app is designed for local storage and does not request internet access. You are responsible for protecting your device lock screen, storage provider, and any exported backup files.
11) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the app's features or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when the policy changes.
