Privacy Policy — Wadiah File Manager
Wadiah File Manager is an Android file management app by Saifullah Ahad.
1) Who we are
Wadiah File Manager is provided by Saifullah Ahad ("we", "us", "our"). Our website/portfolio is: https://saifullah.ai.
2) What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use Wadiah File Manager (the "App").
3) Information we collect
Wadiah File Manager does not collect personal data, create user accounts, include analytics SDKs, include advertising SDKs, process payments, or send files to a server.
The App works offline and does not request Internet permission.
4) Files and local app data
The App can access files and folders on the device when you grant storage permissions or use Android file access features. This access is used for file browsing, opening, sharing, copying, moving, renaming, cleanup review, duplicate review, ProofBox, Important files, Private Vault, and Recycle Bin features.
Files moved into Private Vault are stored locally in the app private area. Recycle Bin records and saved file references are also stored locally on the device. Private Vault and recycle storage are excluded from Android backup and device transfer rules configured by this App.
5) Sharing and disclosure
Wadiah File Manager does not share user data with the developer or third parties. If you choose Android share or open actions, Android may pass the selected file to another app chosen by you.
6) Permissions
- Storage access: used to browse, open, copy, move, rename, recycle, restore, search, and review files on shared storage.
- Media read permissions: used on newer Android versions to browse images, videos, and audio files.
- All files access: used for broad file manager actions across shared storage when you enable it.
- Device credential confirmation: handled by Android before Private Vault files are opened.
7) Data retention
App-managed local data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app storage, or uninstall the App. Files exported from the App back to shared storage remain where you saved them.
8) Your choices and controls
- You can allow or deny storage permissions in Android settings.
- You can remove files from Private Vault by exporting them back to Downloads.
- You can restore or empty recoverable items from the Recycle Bin.
- You can delete local app-managed data by clearing app storage or uninstalling the App.
9) Security
Private Vault uses the app private area and Android device credential confirmation before opening protected files. No data is transmitted by the App.
10) Children's privacy
Wadiah File Manager is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on our website and update the effective date above.
