This policy explains how Tashkeel handles data when used as an Arabic learning app for ages 8-18.
1) Who we are

2) What this policy covers
This policy covers data handling for the Android app package ai.saifullah.tashkeel,
including on-device learning progress, optional sync behavior, and support communications.
3) What we collect
- Learner profile and progress data: age band, support language, completed lessons, XP, streak, and review state.
- Parent/teacher settings data: parent controls and classroom assignment details saved in app storage.
- Generated files: certificate PDFs and CSV reports created by the app and stored in app-private storage.
- Optional backend data (only if backend is configured by the developer): parent sign-in email, progress sync payloads, and basic analytics event names.
The app does not include ad SDKs, in-app purchase SDKs, or third-party analytics/crash SDKs in the shipped Android dependencies.
4) How we use information
- Provide lessons, practice, exams, and progress tracking.
- Apply parent controls and accessibility preferences.
- Create learner certificates and export parent/teacher reports.
- If backend is enabled, authenticate parent sign-in and synchronize learning progress.
5) Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information.
- By default, learner data remains on-device.
- If optional backend sync is enabled, data is transmitted to the backend endpoint configured by the developer.
- We may disclose information if required by law.
6) Data retention
On-device data remains until the app data is cleared, progress is reset in-app, or the app is uninstalled. Exported files remain in app-private storage until deleted. If backend mode is enabled, backend retention depends on server configuration.
7) Your choices and controls
- Permissions: You can revoke app permissions in Android settings at any time.
- Progress reset: You can reset local progress from within the app.
- Account/data deletion request: If backend sign-in is enabled for your deployment, contact us by email to request deletion.
8) Permissions used
INTERNET: used for optional backend sign-in, progress sync, analytics event upload, and content version checks.
No camera, microphone, location, contacts, SMS, phone state, or storage runtime permissions are requested in the manifest.
9) Security
- Network security is configured with cleartext traffic disabled.
- App backup is disabled in manifest configuration.
- Backend calls use HTTPS endpoints when backend mode is configured.
10) Children's privacy
Tashkeel is designed for learners aged 8-18 under family or school guidance. We aim to minimize data collection and keep core learning data local on device by default. Parents or guardians can contact us for privacy requests.
11) International transfers
If optional backend services are enabled, data may be processed in regions where backend infrastructure is hosted.
12) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Updates will be posted at https://saifullah.ai with a revised effective date.
