Privacy Policy - SwallowSlate

Effective date: July 18, 2026

1) Who we are

SwallowSlate is provided by Saifullah Ahad. Contact us at www.saifullah.ai@gmail.com or visit saifullah.ai.

2) What SwallowSlate does

SwallowSlate is an offline record-keeping tool for adults, caregivers, and care teams. It helps users record clinician-provided texture targets, document their own drink-flow or food-texture observations, audit meal preparation, and prepare evidence for a care handover.

Health disclaimer: SwallowSlate is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

3) Information kept on your device

You may choose to store the following information in SwallowSlate's private app storage:

This information remains on your device. SwallowSlate has no account system, developer-operated server, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, or cross-app tracking.

4) No developer data collection or sharing

SwallowSlate does not transmit app records to the developer or any third party. The developer does not collect, receive, sell, rent, or share your profile, health-related, photo, test, audit, or usage information. The app does not request the INTERNET or ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permission.

5) Photos and system pickers

If you add an optional photo reference, Android's system picker lets you choose the item and grants SwallowSlate access only to that selected item. The app does not scan your photo library. The selected item remains controlled by you and your device's storage provider.

6) Export, import, and sharing

PDF, CSV, and JSON exports are created only after you choose a destination through Android's system document interface. SwallowSlate does not upload exported files. Files saved outside the app are controlled by you and the destination app or storage provider you select.

A JSON import replaces the app's current local records only after the file is read and validated. Review the source and keep a backup before importing. SwallowSlate does not send imported content anywhere.

7) Feedback email

The optional feedback action opens an external email app with the public support address. SwallowSlate does not send email itself and does not receive a message unless you choose to send it from that external app. The email provider's own privacy terms apply.

8) Retention and deletion

Local records remain on your device until you delete them, clear SwallowSlate's storage in Android Settings, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling does not automatically delete files you previously exported elsewhere; delete those separately from their saved location.

9) Security

App records are stored in Android's private app storage and are unavailable to the developer. Device security, backups, exported files, and any external apps you choose remain subject to their own protections and settings. No storage method is completely risk-free.

10) Clinical responsibility and IDDSI reference

Only a qualified clinician should set or change a person's swallowing-care plan. SwallowSlate records observations supplied by its users; it does not determine what is safe for a person to eat or drink. Seek urgent professional help if swallowing safety is uncertain.

References to IDDSI terminology are for interoperability with clinician-provided plans. SwallowSlate is an independent app and is not endorsed, certified, or operated by the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative.

11) Children's privacy

SwallowSlate is designed for adults and care teams and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children because the app transmits no personal information to the developer.

12) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the app or legal requirements change. The latest version will remain at privacy.saifullah.ai/SwallowSlate.html with a revised effective date.
