Sentry Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 1, 2026

Sentry is a local network scanner by Saifullah Ahad. It helps you view devices on the network your Android device is connected to, inspect Wi-Fi details, save local device labels, and send optional feedback.

1. Introduction / What The App Does

Sentry scans your active local network from your device. It can show discovered device IP addresses, detected MAC addresses, vendor names, hostnames, latency, gateway status, Wi-Fi configuration details, and common open-port results when available.

The app does not require an account. The core scanning workflow works locally on your device and local network.

2. Data We Collect

Sentry does not collect account profile data because the app has no sign-in system. The app handles these data categories:

Local network data IP addresses, detected MAC addresses, hostnames, vendors, gateway status, latency, Wi-Fi network details, DNS, subnet, signal, and link-speed values may be processed on your device to show scan results.
Local saved records Custom names, trusted status, first-seen and last-seen timestamps, last IP address, MAC address, and vendor values are stored locally on your device so Sentry can recognize known devices.
Optional feedback If you send feedback, Sentry sends your message, optional reply email, app version, Android version, SDK level, device manufacturer, and model to the developer support email through Web3Forms.

Sentry requests Wi-Fi related permissions only to show network details that Android protects. On Android 8-12 this uses foreground location permission. On Android 13 and newer this uses Nearby Wi-Fi Devices. Sentry does not use GPS or background location.

3. How We Use The Data

4. Data Sharing / Third Parties

Sentry uses Web3Forms only for the optional in-app feedback form. When you choose to send feedback, the feedback payload is relayed through Web3Forms to www.saifullah.ai@gmail.com.

The app does not include advertising, analytics, account, payment, or push-notification SDKs.

5. Data Retention And Deletion

Local device records stay on your device until the app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled. Optional feedback messages are retained only as needed to read, respond to, and improve support handling.

To request deletion of feedback you sent, contact www.saifullah.ai@gmail.com and include enough detail to identify the message.

6. Send Feedback

The in-app feedback feature is optional. It sends your message and optional reply email over HTTPS to Web3Forms, which relays it to the developer support email. Sentry also includes app and device diagnostics in that feedback payload so the report can be understood.

7. Children's Policy

Sentry is a general utility app and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has sent personal information through the optional feedback form, contact us and we will review the request.

8. Changes To This Policy

This policy may be updated when Sentry's features, permissions, or support systems change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
