1. Data Sovereignty

Scanora is built with an offline-first philosophy. All document processing, including edge detection, cropping, and visual enhancement, occurs entirely on your mobile device. Your documents never leave your phone unless you choose to share them.

2. Zero Data Collection

• No Personal Information: We do not require sign-ups or accounts. We do not collect your name, email, or any personal identifiers.
• No Tracking: The app contains no analytics trackers, crash reporting SDKs, or behavioral monitoring tools.
• No Document Access: We have no technical means to access, view, or store the documents you scan.

3. Minimal Permissions

We request only the essentials:

• Camera: To digitize your physical paperwork.
• Storage: To save your final PDFs to your device's Documents/Scans folder.

4. Third-Party Services

We utilize the Google ML Kit Document Scanner API for high-quality processing. This is a local system component provided by Google Play Services. Scanora does not share your data with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Everything Scanora records stays on your device. We do not store or retain your data on any server, so there is nothing for us to keep, share or delete. On the device your scan history and document files stay until you delete them in the app, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall Scanora — Android removes the app’s private data when it is uninstalled. We keep no backups of your content, no analytics profiles and no advertising identifiers.

You have full control over your scanned files. You can delete them at any time through the app or your device's file manager. Since we do not keep backups on any server, deletion from your device is permanent.
