Privacy Policy — Rivorad
1) Who we are
Rivorad is provided by Saifullah Ahad. Contact www.saifullah.ai@gmail.com or visit saifullah.ai.
2) What Rivorad does
Rivorad lets you choose river watchpoints, examine modeled discharge in recent context, compare watchpoints, keep private planning notes, and optionally receive threshold notifications.
Rivorad presents modeled river information for awareness and planning. It is not an emergency alert, official gauge, evacuation instruction, or guarantee of present or future conditions.
3) Information sent when you use online data
Rivorad has no account system and does not operate its own server. It connects directly to the Open-Meteo free API:
- A place-search query is sent to the Open-Meteo Geocoding API when you search for a place.
- The latitude and longitude of a watchpoint are sent to the Open-Meteo Flood API when Rivorad fetches its modeled river-discharge series.
- Your device necessarily sends ordinary network information, including its IP address, to reach that provider.
Open-Meteo states that its free API may collect IP addresses for maintenance and misuse prevention, that troubleshooting logs may contain coordinates, and that those log files are deleted after 90 days. Review the provider's current Terms & Privacy. Open-Meteo's processing is governed by its own terms.
4) Information stored only on your device
- Saved watchpoint names, coordinates, and ordering.
- Cached model series and the time of the latest refresh.
- Private planning notes and any threshold you choose.
- Your notification preference.
Rivorad disables Android cloud backup. This information is not uploaded to Saifullah Ahad or synchronized between devices.
5) Permissions and notifications
Rivorad uses internet and network-state access to search for places and retrieve model data. It does not request device location, camera, microphone, contacts, advertising ID, or file access.
On supported Android versions, notification permission is requested only if you explicitly enable a watchpoint threshold. You can disable notifications at any time in Rivorad or Android Settings.
6) Feedback and external links
The feedback action opens your chosen email app with Rivorad's public contact address. Rivorad itself does not read, upload, or store the message. Any email you choose to send is handled by your email provider under its terms. Links opened from the app are handled by your browser or the relevant installed app.
7) Advertising, analytics, and sharing
Rivorad contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, subscription, in-app purchase, or developer-operated tracking. Saifullah Ahad does not sell user data. Data reaches Open-Meteo only when needed to provide place search or river-model results as described above.
8) Retention and deletion
You can remove an individual watchpoint and its notes, threshold, and cached series from the app's Local plan screen. Clearing Rivorad's storage or uninstalling the app deletes all locally stored Rivorad data. Open-Meteo's API log retention is controlled by Open-Meteo; its published policy currently states a 90-day deletion period for individual free-API log files.
9) Children
Rivorad is a general utility and is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in their jurisdiction. The app does not provide accounts, social features, or user-to-user communication.
10) Security and data limitations
Network requests use HTTPS. Local data is protected by Android's app sandbox. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure. Modeled values can be delayed, unavailable, or unrepresentative of a nearby river because the underlying data uses a geographic grid.
11) Changes and contact
Updates will appear at this URL with a revised effective date. Privacy questions or deletion requests may be sent to www.saifullah.ai@gmail.com.
