No sale of data
On-device distance calc
Public quake feeds only
1. Information We Collect
- Location (optional): only if you grant permission; used to show nearby quakes and compute distance.
- Device data: OS version and device model to improve reliability.
- Usage data: radius, filters, language, and preferences stored locally.
- Felt reports: saved on your device; not sent to any server.
2. How We Use Data
- Show earthquakes near you and in selected regions.
- Compute distance, risk indicators, and notifications you opt into.
- Improve stability and troubleshoot crashes (if crash reporting is enabled).
3. Data Sources
We query public feeds only:
- USGS Earthquake API
- EMSC (European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre)
- GFZ/GEOFON
- NCS India
No personal data is sent to these providers; only anonymous requests for quake data.
4. Sharing
We do not sell or share personal data. Location stays on-device for distance calculations. If crash reporting is enabled, limited diagnostics may be sent to the crash service provider.
5. Storage & Retention
- Earthquake data cached locally for offline use; old cache is cleaned periodically.
- Preferences remain on your device.
- Felt reports are local; any future upload would ask for your permission.
6. Your Choices
- Deny or revoke location at any time (you’ll still see global/country data).
- Clear app data or uninstall to remove stored information.
- Disable crash reporting in settings (if available in your build).
7. Security
We rely on standard platform protections for local storage. No sensitive personal identifiers are collected.
