1) Who we are

2) What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Probashi Shield (the "App") handles information when you use it on your Android device. The app is designed to work entirely offline. It does not require an internet connection to function.

3) Information we collect

The app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information with external servers.

All information you provide is stored locally on your device only. This includes:

• Profile information you enter: full name, destination country, passport last 4 digits, trusted contact number, blood type — stored locally using Android DataStore Preferences.
• Salary plan data: monthly salary, debt payments, living costs, contract duration — stored locally on your device.
• Checklist progress: which departure checklist items you have marked complete — stored locally.
• Scam check answers: your responses to the recruiter scam check questions — stored locally.
• Document vault references: the app stores references (URIs) to documents you select using Android's built-in file picker (Storage Access Framework). The app does not copy or upload your documents anywhere.

4) How we use information

All stored information is used exclusively on your device to provide the app's features:

• Displaying your worker profile and building the SOS emergency message.
• Tracking departure checklist progress.
• Calculating salary pressure and monthly financial breathing room.
• Maintaining scam check answer persistence across app sessions.
• Opening document vault references using Android's Storage Access Framework.

No information is sent to any server, third party, or external service.

5) Sharing and disclosure

The app does not share any personal information with anyone.

Probashi Shield has no analytics services, no crash reporting SDKs, no advertising networks, no payment processors, and no authentication services. The app does not even declare the INTERNET permission in its Android manifest.

The only data interaction with external apps occurs when you choose to:

• Open a document from your vault — the app launches Android's built-in file viewer with the URI you previously selected.
• Share the SOS message — the app uses Android's standard share intent to send text to any messaging app you choose.
• Call embassy contacts — the app launches Android's built-in dialler with the pre-listed phone number.
• Open embassy websites — the app launches Android's default browser with the embassy's public URL.

These interactions use standard Android intents. No data is transmitted through the app itself.

6) Data retention

All data remains on your device for as long as the app is installed. You can delete all app data at any time through Android Settings:

Settings → Apps → Probashi Shield → Storage → Clear Data

Clearing app data will permanently remove your profile, checklist progress, salary plan, scam check answers, and document vault references. This action cannot be undone.

7) Your choices and controls

• Permissions: The app uses Android's Storage Access Framework to let you select documents from your own device. No additional permissions are required beyond the standard file picker.
• Access: All your data is visible within the app at any time.
• Deletion: You can remove individual items (documents, profile fields) within the app, or clear all data through Android Settings as described above.
• Uninstall: Removing the app from your device deletes all associated data immediately.

8) Security

All data is stored locally on your device using Android DataStore Preferences, which is a key-value storage system built into the Android framework. Document vault references use Android's Storage Access Framework (SAF), which manages URI permissions through the Android system. No data is transmitted over networks.

9) Children's privacy

Probashi Shield is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is designed for adult migrant workers preparing for overseas employment.

10) International transfers

Since Probashi Shield does not transmit any data to external servers, no international data transfers occur through the app. Your information remains on the device where you installed it.

11) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on our website at https://privacy.saifullah.ai/ProbashiShield and update the effective date above.
