Privacy Policy - Nuskha

1. Who we are

Nuskha is provided by Saifullah Ahad. Nuskha helps users create encrypted backups of selected phone data in their own Google Drive account.

2. Data Nuskha can process

Nuskha processes data only when you choose matching backup, restore, sign-in, or feedback actions.

• Google account email: used by Google Sign-In and shown in the app so you know which Drive account is connected.
• Contacts: names, phone numbers, and email addresses when you select contacts backup or restore.
• SMS messages: SMS content and metadata when you select SMS backup or restore.
• Call log: phone numbers, call dates, call types, cached names, and durations when you select call log backup or restore.
• Installed-app list: app names, package names, whether the app came from Google Play, and Play Store links. Nuskha does not back up APK files.
• Backup metadata: app version, backup time, selected categories, item counts, and device model so you can identify backups.
• Optional feedback: message text, optional email address, app version, Android version, device manufacturer, and model if you submit feedback from the About screen.

3. How data is used

• Create encrypted backup bundles in your Google Drive.
• List and open backups that Nuskha created in your Drive.
• Restore selected contacts, call log entries, SMS messages, and app reinstall references.
• Respond to optional support or feedback messages.

4. Storage, encryption, and Drive access

Backup contents are encrypted on your device before upload. Nuskha uses a passphrase-derived encryption key and AES-GCM encryption. You need the passphrase to open a backup.

Nuskha uses Google Drive with the limited drive.file scope, which lets the app work with files it creates. Backup folders are stored in your Google Drive account, not on a developer-owned server.

5. Permissions

• Internet and network state: Google Sign-In, Google Drive backup/restore, and optional feedback.
• SMS: read selected SMS data for backup. During SMS restore, Android requires Nuskha to temporarily become the default SMS app before it can write messages back.
• Call log: read call log data for backup and write call log entries during restore.
• Contacts: read contacts for backup and write contacts during restore.
• Installed-app visibility: create a reinstall reference list using app labels, package names, and Play Store links.

6. Third-party services

• Google Sign-In and Google Drive API: used to authenticate and store encrypted backup files in your Drive account. Google privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
• Web3Forms: used only if you tap Send feedback and submit a message. Web3Forms privacy policy: https://web3forms.com/privacy.

Nuskha does not contain advertising SDKs, billing SDKs, or analytics SDKs.

7. Optional feedback

If you submit feedback from the About screen, your message is sent to the developer's email inbox through Web3Forms. Your email address is optional and is used only so the developer can reply. If you leave it blank, the message is delivered without a reply address.

The feedback message includes a short technical footer with app name, app version, Android version, device manufacturer, and device model. No contacts, SMS, call log, account data, or backup contents are attached to feedback.

8. Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. Backup data is sent to your own Google Drive only when you start backup or restore flows. Optional feedback is sent through Web3Forms only when you submit it.

9. Retention and deletion

You control backup retention in your Google Drive account. You can delete Nuskha backup folders directly from Drive. Optional feedback emails are kept only as long as needed for support.

10. Children's privacy

Nuskha is not directed to children under 13 or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when app features or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published at https://privacy.saifullah.ai/Nuskha.
