1) Who we are

2) What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains what information Naqil (the "App") handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. Naqil is a file-transfer app that sends files directly between two devices on the same local network (Wi-Fi or a phone hotspot).

3) Your files stay on the local network

When you transfer files, they travel directly from one device to the other over your local network. Your files are never uploaded to any server, never pass through us, and never leave the local link. Naqil has no user account and no cloud storage. Each transfer connection sets up its own encryption keys (an ephemeral ECDH key exchange deriving AES-256-GCM keys), and the QR code you scan authenticates the pairing so only the device you scanned can connect.

4) Camera

Camera access is used only to scan the pairing QR code shown by the receiving device. The image is decoded on your device; no photo, frame, or scanned content is stored or sent anywhere.

5) Nearby devices and network access

Naqil uses local network and nearby-device permissions to advertise and discover devices on the same Wi-Fi or hotspot and to open a direct connection between the two phones. This activity happens only on your local network; no discovery information is sent to us or any third party.

6) Transfer history

The App keeps a local history of your transfers (peer name, file count, total size, time, and success/failure) so you can see what you sent and received. This history is stored only on your device and is never transmitted. You can clear it at any time from within the App.

7) Optional feedback you choose to send

The App has a "Send Feedback" feature. If — and only if — you use it, the message text you write and, optionally, the email address you enter are sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to Web3Forms, a relay service that forwards the message to our support email. Basic technical details (app version, Android version, device model) are included to help us diagnose issues. We use this solely to read and respond to your feedback. If you do not use the feedback feature, nothing is sent.

8) Data we do not collect

Naqil does not use advertising, and does not include analytics or tracking SDKs. It does not collect your contacts or location, and does not use an advertising identifier.

9) Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell or share your data. The only outbound transmission to us is the optional feedback message described in section 7, sent to the Web3Forms relay at your initiative.

10) Data retention and deletion

Received files are saved where the App stores them on your device and remain until you delete them or uninstall the App; uninstalling removes all locally stored data, including transfer history. Feedback messages you send exist only in our support email. To request deletion of a feedback message you sent, contact us at the email below.

11) Permissions

Camera: To scan the pairing QR code on the receiving device.
Nearby Wi-Fi devices / Wi-Fi and network state: To discover and connect to the other phone on your local network.
Internet: Required by Android for the local network socket connection, and for the optional feedback message.
Notifications: To show transfer status.

12) Security

Each transfer connection is encrypted with keys derived from an ephemeral ECDH key exchange (AES-256-GCM), and the QR pairing code authenticates the channel so only the scanned device can connect. The App also verifies an integrity hash of every file so it arrives exactly as sent. Network requests for the optional feedback feature use encryption in transit (HTTPS).

13) Children's privacy

Naqil is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

14) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at https://privacy.saifullah.ai/Naqil and update the effective date above.
