Privacy Policy — Mawjood
1) Who we are
Mawjood is provided by SAIFULLAH ("we", "us", "our"). Our website/portfolio is: https://saifullah.ai.
2) What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use Mawjood (the "App"). Mawjood is a community app for reporting and finding which medicines are currently in stock at pharmacies in an area you choose.
3) Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information depending on which features you use:
- Email address: Used for account registration and sign-in via Firebase Authentication (email and password).
- Display name: A name you enter for your account. It is shown publicly on the reports you post so other users know who shared them.
- Content you create: Stock sightings (in stock / limited / out of stock), prices, notes, confirmations, flags, and the medicine and pharmacy entries you add. This content is public to other users of the App.
- Area you choose: The name of a neighborhood or locality you select or type (for example, "Dhanmondi, Dhaka"). This is a text label you choose — the App does not request or use device GPS/location.
- Device and technical data: Device model, OS version, app version, and crash information collected by Firebase for reliability purposes.
4) How we use information
- Authenticate your identity and provide access to the App.
- Show community stock reports for the area you choose, ranked by how fresh they are.
- Display the reports, confirmations, and flags you contribute to other users.
- Let you follow a medicine and receive an on-device notification when it is reported back in stock in your area.
- Keep the shared catalog of medicines and pharmacies current.
- Improve app performance and fix issues.
5) Third-party services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Authentication: Email/password sign-in and user session management. Firebase Privacy Policy

We do not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics trackers, or data brokers. Notifications about a followed medicine are generated on your own device and are not sent through any push-messaging server.
6) Data storage and security
Your data is stored on your device (a local cache) and in the cloud via Firebase Cloud Firestore. All network communication uses HTTPS encryption in transit; cleartext network traffic is disabled in the App.
7) Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
The reports, confirmations, flags, and medicine/pharmacy entries you create — along with your display name — are visible to other users of the App. This public sharing is the core function of Mawjood: a report one person posts helps the next person find a needed medicine.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
8) Community content and moderation
Reports are contributed by the community and can be wrong or out of date. Any user can flag a report they believe is inaccurate or inappropriate. A report that is flagged by several members is automatically hidden from the board, and we also review reported content and take further action where needed. Always confirm availability with the pharmacy before relying on it; Mawjood does not sell or dispense medicine.
9) Data retention
We keep your information as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the App's features. You can delete your account and associated account data from within the App (Settings → Delete account), or request deletion by contacting us at the email address below.
10) Your choices and controls
- Notification permission: You can deny notification permission, or turn medicine alerts off and set quiet hours in the App's Settings.
- Display name: You can change the display name shown on your reports.
- Your content: You can delete sightings you posted.
- Deletion: You can delete your account in-app, or request deletion of your data by email.
11) Permissions used
- INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to sync community data with the cloud.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Used to alert you when a medicine you follow is reported back in stock. You can deny or customize this.
The App does not request location, camera, contacts, or storage permissions.
12) Children's privacy
Mawjood is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. See our Child Safety Standards.
13) International transfers
If you access the App from outside the country where Firebase servers are located, your information may be transferred across borders. We take steps to protect information in accordance with this policy.
14) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at https://privacy.saifullah.ai/Mawjood.html and update the effective date above.
