Privacy Policy — Kalimora
1) Who we are
Kalimora is provided by Saifullah Ahad ("we", "us", "our"). Our website is: https://saifullah.ai.
2) Summary (plain language)
Kalimora is a fully offline Arabic learning game. It does not request internet access, and it does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
3) What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains what information Kalimora (the "App") handles, how it is stored, and the choices you have. It applies to the Android version of the App distributed through Google Play.
4) Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information. The App has no internet permission and no server-side component. To make this concrete:
- No account and no sign-up: the App does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any identifier to use any feature.
- No analytics or telemetry: the App does not integrate any analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or attribution SDKs.
- No network calls: the App does not declare the
android.permission.INTERNETpermission and cannot send data anywhere. - No sensors, camera, microphone, location, or contacts: the App does not request or use any of these.
5) Data stored locally on your device
The App stores the following on your device only, using standard Android storage (DataStore preferences and a private JSON file in the App's internal storage):
- Onboarding choices: the support language (Bengali or English), your age band, and an optional display name that you entered.
- Settings: theme, transliteration and tashkeel toggles.
- Learning progress: per-concept mastery, XP, streaks, lessons completed, accuracy, and words mastered.
This local data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time from the App's Settings screen ("Reset all progress"), or by uninstalling the App.
6) Sharing and disclosure
We do not share anything because we do not collect anything. The App has no backend and no third-party SDKs.
7) Third-party services
The About the Developer screen includes outbound links to Google Play (developer page), GitHub, the Kalimora privacy page, the Saifullah.ai website, the developer's email and phone, and the developer's own free messaging app (Ittisal). Tapping these links hands off to the respective system app or website. Once you leave Kalimora, the destination service's own privacy policy applies.
8) Children's privacy
Kalimora is an education app suitable for learners of all ages, including children. The App does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children, and has no features that enable communication with other users. Parents and guardians can review all of the App's behavior locally and can uninstall the App to remove all stored progress.
9) Permissions
The App declares no runtime or special permissions. It does declare a <queries> entry for the Ittisal messaging app package so that the About the Developer screen can detect whether Ittisal is installed and open it directly. No data is collected through this check.
10) Data retention and deletion
All stored progress remains on your device until you clear it in the App's Settings or uninstall the App. There is no server-side data to request deletion of.
11) Security
Because no data leaves your device, the App does not transmit information over a network and does not rely on remote servers. Local data is stored in the App's private app directory, protected by standard Android app sandboxing.
12) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date above.
