JointCue Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 19, 2026 · Developer: Saifullah Ahad

JointCue does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. Its movement analysis and records stay on your device unless you deliberately export a report through Android's system file picker.

What JointCue does

JointCue lets you create movement-practice protocols, observe joint-angle geometry, save derived session summaries, review local trends, and export CSV or PDF evidence. It is an observational tool and does not diagnose a condition, prescribe treatment, assess pain, or decide whether a movement is safe.

Data processed and stored

The app stores the following information in its private local database:

This information is not sent to Saifullah Ahad, Google, or another service by JointCue.

Camera and pose processing

Camera permission is requested only when you choose live observation. While the Practice screen is active, frames are processed in memory to estimate body landmarks and the selected joint angle. JointCue does not record, save, include in reports, or transmit camera images or video.

JointCue uses the bundled Google ML Kit Pose Detection library. The model and pose processing run on the device. The app has no Internet permission, so camera frames and pose results cannot be transmitted by the app.

Manual observation

You can decline camera access and use manual observation. The app stores only the resulting session summary and any optional note you choose to save.

Reports and file access

CSV and PDF exports are created only after you choose a destination in Android's system file picker. The selected file is then controlled by you and by the storage provider you chose. JointCue does not upload exported reports.

Retention and deletion

Protocols and session summaries remain on your device until you delete a protocol, use “Delete all local data,” clear the app's storage, or uninstall JointCue. Deleting a protocol also deletes its linked session summaries. JointCue has no cloud copy and no account-based retention.

Permissions

The production app does not request Internet, network-state, storage, location, microphone, advertising ID, notification, or background-service permission.

Analytics, advertising, accounts, and sharing

JointCue contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, social, account, login, cloud-sync, or remote-backend service. The app does not sell or share data.

Children's privacy

JointCue is not directed specifically to children and does not knowingly collect children's personal information. Because the app does not transmit user data, the developer does not receive personal information from users of any age.

Security

Local records use Android's app-private storage. Device security, backups you control, exported files, and any third-party storage destination you select remain under your control.

Changes to this policy

If JointCue's data practices change, this page will be updated before the changed version is distributed. The effective date above identifies the current policy.
