Islah Privacy Policy

1. Intro

Islah is an Android app for small repair shops. It helps you keep repair job cards, customer records, payment notes, receipt text, and local backups on your device.

Core repair records stay on your device unless you export a backup, share receipt text, or send feedback.

2. Data We Collect

Islah stores these records locally on your device:

Repair job cards, ticket details, item names, problem notes, status, promised dates, and technician notes.
Customer names, phone numbers, addresses, and notes.
Estimate, advance paid, and due amount notes.
Receipt text generated from job card details.
Local JSON backup files when you choose to export them.

These local records are not uploaded by the core app features.

If you use Send Feedback, the app sends your feedback message through Web3Forms. The message may include your optional email address, app version, Android version, and device model.

3. How We Use Data

Local records are used to show job cards, customers, status filters, receipt text, backups, and settings inside the app.

Feedback data is used to reply when an email address is provided, understand bug reports, and improve the app.

4. Data Sharing

Islah does not upload local repair records as part of its core features.

Data can leave the app only when you choose one of these actions:

Export a local backup file.
Share receipt text through another app.
Send feedback through Web3Forms.

Islah does not use an analytics SDK or account login in this version.

5. App Lock

If you set an App PIN, Islah stores a salted SHA-256 hash of the PIN plus a random 16-byte salt in the app's local DataStore. The plain-text PIN is never stored.

Biometric unlock uses Android BiometricPrompt. Islah does not receive or store fingerprint or face data.

The Islah PIN is separate from your device PIN. The app cannot read your device PIN, and your device PIN will not unlock Islah. Cloud backup is disabled so the PIN hash and salt are not included in Android auto-backup or device-to-device transfer.

6. Data Retention And Deletion

Local data remains on your device until you reset app data, delete exported backup files, or uninstall the app.

You can remove local app data from Islah Settings by using Reset app data.

7. Send Feedback

Send Feedback is optional. Do not include sensitive shop details in a feedback message unless you want the developer to receive them.

8. Children

Islah is not designed specifically for children.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated when Islah changes how it handles data. The effective date will be updated when changes are made.
