Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
GentleAnchor helps people in acute grief shock use SOS grounding, tiny survival steps, anonymous peer comfort, private emotional release, memory tools, body calming exercises, and one-tap crisis support.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
GentleAnchor can store the following locally on your device when you choose to use those features:
- Completed micro-step survival tasks.
- Private pressure-valve text and local voice notes.
- One Memory Anchor: text, photo, or voice note.
- Continuing Bonds letters and memory jar entries.
- Grief Wave Tracker check-ins and optional notes.
- Your selected support-line region.
This content is stored in app-private storage. Android backup is disabled and backup/data extraction rules exclude app files and shared preferences.
3. Data Sent Off Device
Private pressure-valve content, Memory Anchor content, letters, memory jar entries, and grief wave check-ins are not uploaded.
If Firebase is configured, the anonymous Sympathy Circle can sync posts and replies that you intentionally submit. These posts do not require your real name or email. Google Cloud Natural Language moderation may review submitted circle text and crisis-related language to block abusive wording and show safety support.
If you tap "Send feedback" in the About Developer screen and submit a message, only the message you type is sent to Web3Forms, a third-party email-relay service, which delivers it to the developer's email inbox at www.saifullah.ai@gmail.com.
4. Permissions
- Microphone: used only when you choose to record a local voice note.
- Vibration: used for SOS, 3 AM Panic, and somatic breathing cues.
- Internet and network state: used for optional feedback, Firebase anonymous Sympathy Circle sync, Google Cloud moderation, and web fallback access.
GentleAnchor does not request location, contacts, SMS, call log, calendar, billing, ads, health, or account permissions.
5. Data Sharing
GentleAnchor does not sell user data and does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, billing, or paid accounts. Optional feedback is processed by Web3Forms as an email-relay service provider. Web3Forms has its own privacy policy at https://web3forms.com/privacy.
6. Child Safety Standards
The Sympathy Circle includes user-generated posts. GentleAnchor prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation, grooming, sexualized content involving minors, threats, harassment, and self-harm encouragement. Every circle post includes a report action. The child safety standards page is available at GentleAnchor Child Safety Standards.
7. Retention and Deletion
Local grief content remains on your device until you clear it inside the app, clear app data, or uninstall the app. To request deletion of feedback messages sent to the developer inbox, email www.saifullah.ai@gmail.com.
8. Crisis and Health Notice
GentleAnchor is not therapy, medical care, emergency service, or a replacement for a crisis counselor. If you may hurt yourself, someone else, or you cannot stay safe, call emergency services now or ask someone nearby to stay with you.
9. Children's Privacy
GentleAnchor is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child sent personal information through feedback, contact the developer so it can be deleted.
10. Contact
For privacy questions or deletion requests, email www.saifullah.ai@gmail.com.
GentleAnchor is designed to keep private grief-support content on your device and usable offline.
