Privacy Policy - Fadl

1) Who we are

Fadl is provided by Saifullah Ahad ("we", "us", "our"). Our website is: https://saifullah.ai.

2) What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains what information Fadl stores, when information leaves your device, and the choices you have when you use the app.

Fadl is a remote job finder and job tracking app. It searches third-party job sources, lets you save jobs, mark jobs as applied, keep a simple match profile, use optional App Lock, and send optional feedback.

3) Information stored on your device

Fadl stores the following information locally on your device in private app storage:

• Job match profile: target role, skills, country, and preferred work type.
• Saved jobs: job title, company, location, type, category, source, publish date, salary text, summary, apply link, and tags for jobs you save.
• Applied-job status: local identifiers for jobs you mark as applied.
• App preferences: selected filters and App Lock settings.
• Security material for optional App Lock: if you set a Fadl App PIN, a salted SHA-256 hash of the PIN plus a random 16-byte salt is stored in the app's local DataStore. The plain-text PIN is never stored.

Local profile, saved jobs, applied status, and App Lock data are not sent to us.

4) Information sent to job sources

When you search for jobs, Fadl sends your search term and selected region to third-party job listing APIs and public feeds so the app can show matching opportunities. These services may process requests according to their own policies.

Fadl currently retrieves job listings from sources such as Remotive, Himalayas, RemoteJobs.org, Jobicy, Arbeitnow, RemoteOK, Working Nomads, We Work Remotely, Jobscollider/RemoteFirstJobs, Adzuna, and Jooble.

When you tap Apply, Fadl opens the job's original application page in your browser or the relevant website/app. The destination site controls its own privacy practices.

5) How the app uses information

• To search job sources for matching remote opportunities.
• To display job listings, filters, direct-hiring signals, saved jobs, and applied status.
• To rank jobs against the job match profile stored on your device.
• To generate a proposal starter that you can copy manually.
• To lock the app when optional App Lock is enabled.
• To handle optional feedback messages that you choose to send.

6) Permissions and Android features used

• INTERNET - used to retrieve job listings, open job source data, and send optional feedback messages.
• USE_BIOMETRIC - used only if you enable biometric unlock. Android's BiometricPrompt tells Fadl whether unlock succeeded or failed; it never gives the app your fingerprint or face data.
• Package visibility query for Ittisal - lets Fadl check whether the Ittisal app is installed so the About screen can open it directly, or otherwise open the Play Store page.
• System browser, email, and dialer intents - used only when you tap external links, email, phone, or Apply buttons.

Fadl does not request camera, microphone, contacts, location, SMS, call log, calendar, storage, or notification permissions.

7) Optional in-app feedback messages

Fadl includes a Send Feedback option on the About screen. This feature is fully user-initiated - no message is sent unless you tap Send.

If you submit feedback:

• Your message text is delivered to the developer's email inbox.
• Your email address is optional. If you provide it, it is used only so the developer can reply. If you leave it blank, the message is delivered anonymously and the developer cannot reply.
• A short technical footer is auto-attached to help reproduce bugs: app name, app version, Android version, device manufacturer, and device model. No identifiers, contacts, account data, saved jobs, profile details, or application history are included.

The message is sent over HTTPS to Web3Forms (privacy policy: https://web3forms.com/privacy), which relays it to www.saifullah.ai@gmail.com.

8) App Lock security

App Lock is optional. You can enable biometric unlock, a dedicated Fadl App PIN, or both.

• The Fadl App PIN is separate from your device PIN.
• Fadl cannot read your device PIN, and your device PIN will not unlock Fadl.
• The plain-text App PIN is never stored.
• Biometric data is handled by Android, not by Fadl.
• Cloud backup is disabled (android:allowBackup="false") so the PIN hash and salt are not included in Google Drive auto-backup or device-to-device transfer.

9) Third-party services and external links

Fadl uses third-party job listing sources and Web3Forms as described above. The About screen also contains links to Google Play, GitHub, the developer website, email, phone dialer, and Ittisal. When you open an external website, app, email client, phone dialer, or job application page, that destination may process data under its own policy.

Fadl does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash reporting SDKs, push notification SDKs, or sign-in accounts in the current version.

10) Data retention

On-device data remains until you remove saved jobs, change profile details, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling Fadl removes its local profile, saved jobs, applied status, App Lock settings, PIN hash, and salt from the device.

Optional feedback messages are retained in the developer's email inbox for support and bug tracking. You can request deletion by emailing www.saifullah.ai@gmail.com with enough detail to identify the message.

11) Your choices and controls

• Edit the job match profile at any time.
• Save or remove jobs from the Saved Jobs view.
• Mark jobs as applied or undo that status.
• Turn App Lock, biometric unlock, or App PIN on or off in Settings.
• Skip the email field when sending feedback.
• Uninstall the app to remove all local app data from your device.

12) Children's privacy

Fadl is intended for people managing job searches and work applications. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13) International transfers

Job search requests may be sent to job providers and feeds outside your country. Optional feedback is processed by Web3Forms and delivered to the developer's email inbox. Local profile, saved jobs, applied status, and App Lock data stay on your device.

14) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at https://privacy.saifullah.ai/Fadl.html with the updated effective date at the top.
