2) What this policy covers

This policy explains what data BrainForge processes, how it is used, and your controls.

3) Information we process

• Focus data (local): sessions, interruptions, program progress, and drill results are stored on your device.
• Settings (local): onboarding state, mode preferences, blocked app list, emergency exit delay, and related app settings.
• Export file data: when you choose Export, the selected local data is written to a location you choose via Android's file picker.

BrainForge does not include ad SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking SDKs.

4) How data is used

• Provide training programs, session timers, drills, and analytics.
• Enable optional distraction controls such as DND and optional accessibility-based app blocking.
• Support user-requested export and delete-all actions.

5) Sharing and disclosure

BrainForge is local-first and does not send your personal focus data to remote servers as part of core operation.

We do not sell personal information.

6) Data retention

Data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. You can use the in-app "Delete All Data" action to clear local data.

7) Permissions and optional features

• Notification Policy Access (optional): used only if you enable DND during active sessions.
• Accessibility Service (optional): used only if you enable optional app blocking during active sessions.

If permissions are not granted, these features degrade gracefully and the app continues to function.

8) Your choices and controls

• Enable/disable optional features in Settings.
• Export local data as JSON to a user-selected location.
• Delete all local data and reset preferences from Settings.

9) Security

We apply reasonable safeguards for local data handling. No storage system is 100 percent secure.

10) Children's privacy

BrainForge is not directed to children under 13.

11) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy and will update the effective date on this page.
